Born in South Africa, Lisa immigrated to North Vancouver with her family when she was 10 years old. After completing her undergraduate degree in Criminology and Psychology at Simon Fraser University, she travelled to the UK to study law and travel Europe. Lisa began her formal legal career at a boutique firm in Yaletown, practicing civil litigation with an emphasis on commercial and construction litigation and insurance defence claims. She is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and has appeared in both the Supreme and Provincial Court of British Columbia.
Lisa once again calls North Vancouver home with her husband, baby and a very demanding cat. In her spare time she loves appreciating BC’s mountains and ocean, good wine, good food, and buying clothes and then returning them. She considers Hawaii a pretty decent spot to vacation (in fact, anywhere that’s warm!) and can often be found clutching a non-fat, half-sweet vanilla latte while meandering the streets. She prides herself on getting in the kitchen as little as possible, but when she has to drum up a dinner of sorts, she can do wonders with a willing salmon.
